PURPOSE OF THE GROUP
The Sage and Silver membership is an upper tier membership level geared towards SMA’s most dedicated and involved members. Sage and Silver members will receive additional benefits to those they already receive through the general membership. This group will be selected through an application process by the SMA Executive Board every August. The Sage and Silver membership serves to promote a smaller community within the Sports Management Association, with an emphasis on providing exceptional opportunities for career development in the sports business industry.
SAGE AND SILVER MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
Sage and Silver members receive all the benefits a general member receives throughout the academic year plus:
- Access to special events/socials throughout the year.
- Only students eligible to attend the out of state spring networking trip.
- Will receive a mentor through our new alumni mentorship program.
- Access to certain special opportunities over general members.
MINIMUM EXPECTATIONS OF SAGE AND SILVER MEMBERSHIP
1. Be enrolled as a full-time student (12 credit hours minimum) at the University.
2. Be an active member of the Sports Management Association.
3. Attend semi-monthly SMA meetings on Tuesdays at 7:00pm.
4. Actively participate in SMA socials, fundraisers, and philanthropic events throughout the academic year.
